Next up: Module 10 - Editing Part 1 - The Nuts and Bolts of Editing.
We have completed an investigation of the elements of narrative and the role of the narrator, for we have examined narrative structure, how a story is told and who is telling it. In module 10 we will begin an in-depth study of editing and how time is represented to create continuity (or not), rhythm, pace and duration. Editing is a multi-faceted subject of much detail, therefore we will examine it over a two week period.
