This week we focus on film form and how it influences the content of a film.
You will learn vocabulary and concepts, screen a film and contribute to a discussion of that film with your peers. Then complete a short quiz.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of this week, you will be able to:

Identify and utilize cinematic language.

Discussion both form and content.​

Define and describe the shot and perceived camera proxemics.

Discuss how film creates the illusion of motion.

Understand how movies manipulate time and space.

Describe the differences between realism/anti-realism and the importance of verisimilitude.

Complete the reading assignment - Looking at the Movies Chapter 2 - Principles of Form

View this week's film.
