12.1 Week 12 Overview: Chapter 7 - Acting

This week we explore acting. You will learn basic concepts, screen a film and contribute to a discussion of that film with your peers. Then complete a short quiz. 

You will also familiarize yourselves with the criteria of a critique and begin the critique assignment for this week's film.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of this week, you will be able to:

1.Compare and contrast stage and screen acting.

2.Identify four basic types of film actors.

3.Describe the history of acting, how the advent of sound changed acting, and American star system.

4.Explore some different style of acting internationally over time.
