Genre:
Categorization of narrative films by the stories they tell (content) and ways they tell them (form)

1)Allows us to predict what sort of movie to expect thus genre acts a marketing tool.
2)Helps audiences to select the movies they attend based on expectations.
3)Reviewers’ critiques compare one film to others in its genre.
