11.1 Week 11 Overview: Chapter 8 - Editing Part 2
This week we continue to familiarize ourselves with editing. We will examine Soviet/Russian Montage. You will learn basic concepts, screen a film and contribute to a discussion of that film with your peers. Then complete a short quiz.

By the end of this week, you will be able to:
1.Understand all the vocabulary of editing.
2.Identify styles of editing and how those style affect the aesthetics of a film.
3.Explore screen direction and how to maintain it.
4.Understand the editing techniques that provide continuity.
5.Recognize editing styles that inform film genres and styles.
